What You Missed At The Expo!

It's hard to believe it's already the end of August! We had a special update newsletter go out in June about an update coming to the GenX auxiliary page. If you missed it, you can find it under The Technical Edge page on our website (located on our homepage and in the website footer). We skipped a July newsletter because we had something great happening in August: The 2025 ADED Annual Conference and Expo! We were able to let attendees try out our products and we were able to talk about the future of AEVIT. Keep reading to get all the highlights from the weekend!
2025 ADED Annual Conference & Expo
This year's ADED Conference and Expo was great!
Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by the booth and chat with our crew. If you were unable to attend, here is a breakdown of what you missed.
The Custom Orthotic Design Program has taken off this year! We brought some of the new designs to display.

The BMW was on the show floor again this year! Attendees got to sit in the driver's seat and see how the J-Series input interacts with the vehicle.

Our table displays featured our input devices with a variety of orthotics for attendees to test out, an arrangement of GenX Displays with the upcoming update to the auxiliary page, and accessories for the AEVIT 2.0 System. TVs were set up around these tables showing off the products in use.

Dan "The Champ" gave a few presentations while at the conference, including one at the Equipment & Vehicle Modifications Workshop and Exhibitor Roundtables, as well as assisting Tim Jones during the soapbox sessions.

We would like to give a very special thank you to Chris, Casey, and Michael Courtney for helping us again this year! Also a thank you to Tim Jones for presenting our Soapbox!
If you were at the show, let us know what you thought of our booth!

Phoenix Abilities Expo

EMC and Driving to Independence will be teaming up again at the 2025 Phoenix Abilities Expo in AZ this September 5-7!
If you're in the area and want to learn more about high-tech driving, stop by booth #912!
Did You Hear The News?
We shared some big news at the ADED Conference! You may have noticed on this years booth t-shirts there was a new logo. We recently unveiled the logo and name of "AEVIT 3" - AEVIT NextGen!

If you were able to read our Manufacturer's Corner in the ADED NewsBreak, you may already know a little bit about the next iteration of the AEVIT System and it's development.
AEVIT NextGen is the third generation of the AEVIT Systems. We have completed the alpha testing and have entered the beta testing phase for the unit.
The system will say true to the proven configuration of a chassis, V.I.M, display and input device, but will feature some major upgrades. For example, the NextGen Chassis has been reengineered to be half the size of it's predecessor and will have an "easy access" cover. This compact design not only conserves valuable floor space in the vehicle, but also allows technicians to reach the control modules quickly and efficiently with no tools required.
Also, the NextGen Display has been redesigned to prioritize the user experience. The GenX Display gave a glimpse of where we were heading, but the NextGen Display takes it even further with a reimagined user interface inspired by modern vehicle infotainment systems. The system’s control center is updated with newer icons, smoother layouts, and a sleek, modern aesthetic. Functions have been expanded to have dedicated pages and the dealer and evaluators menus have been simplified for easy navigation!
That is all the information we are able to share at this time. A release date for AEVIT NextGen has not been set.

Customized To Your Specifications
As mentioned in the expo article above, the custom orthotics program has taken off this year! For those who are unaware of this program, driver evaluators work alongside our design engineer to create a custom orthotic to be fitted to their client's input device. These orthotics are designed to aid grip or add function to the system. This program also extends into custom W-Series wheels and accessories.

The possibilities are endless and it adds another level of customization to the AEVIT System. These custom orthotics, wheels, and accessories ensure that the driver is comfortable operating the vehicle and has easy access to any function they need. Here are some photos of recent designs:

The Button Mount started as a custom accessory and has now become a standard product. We have designed custom Magnaboxes, buttons, and most recently, a key fob holder. If there is a product that we do not offer that you believe would aid your client or you wish one of our products could fit in that really specific spot in the car, let us know! Our design engineer would be happy to look over the criteria and work on a solution.
