1Can ANY vehicle be adapted?
The AEVIT™ 2.0 System can be installed into any automatic transmission vehicle. EMC offers custom vehicle installations for any vehicle outside the standard line-up.
2How do I know what equipment I need?
Reach out to an EMC dealer and connect with a Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist. The CDRS will be able to evaluate your specific driving requirements and prescribe the best system for you.
3Can an end-user buy parts directly from EMC?
To purchase any Electronic Mobility Controls equipment, please reach out to one of our many EMC dealers. If you need assistance finding a dealer in your area, contact our customer service team. They will be happy to help!
4How do I have an AEVIT™ 2.0 System installed?
Once your driving evaluation has been completed by a CDRS, your EMC dealer will order the prescribed equipment and have it installed into the vehicle at their or another EMC installation facility.
5How long does the AEVIT™ 2.0 equipment last?
The AEVIT™ 2.0 System does not have an end-of-life. All AEVIT™ 2.0 equipment can be serviced by EMC technicians at one of the many EMC installation facilities. EMC can service AEVIT™ equipment for as long as parts are available.
6How long does the limit warranty period last on my AEVIT™ 2.0 System?
For a period of 5 years, from the date of invoice to your EMC Dealer, EMC will repair or replace, at its option, any of the following components found to be defective in materials or workmanship: Servomotor(s), Display, Input Device(s), Vehicle Interface Module, Drive Module(s), Control Module, and Chassis. For a period of 1 year from the date of invoice to your EMC Dealer all other components found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of EMC.
NOTE: This warranty is only valid upon the receipt of your Warranty Validation that is provided to you by your dealer at the time the finished vehicle is delivered to you. Ensure that you ask your dealer to review the Warranty Validation prior to receiving your vehicle.
7Can my AEVIT™ 2.0 equipment be transferred to a new vehicle?
Yes, your current AEVIT™ 2.0 System can be transferred to a new vehicle. Reach out to your EMC dealer about the transfer process and equipment compatibility.
8Can the inputs and display be placed anywhere?
The AEVIT 2.0 Inputs and Display can be placed anywhere in the vehicle the driver can properly access and operate them. The AEVIT 2.0 Display must be positioned for the driver to have full visibility and access to the screen, and can fully operate the device at ALL times.
