Digitone
The AEVIT™ Digitone is an audible, 8-function switching system. Digitone can be activated via the Power Headrest option, a single elbow-operated switch, a circular dome switch, a Magnabox, or tri-pin activation from an L-Series orthotic device. To operate, the driver only needs to depress a switch and hold it until the desired note is reached, and then release. The vehicle function assigned to that note will activate instantly. The scan rate and volume are both programmable, in addition to the vehicle function assigned to each note.
The Digitone is flexible by design; with 8 easily programmable functions, you can have all your needs and wants met. Digitone is easily customizable; your dealer can access the functions on-screen and change them for you. No need for complicated fixes or extended time without a vehicle. The popular functions normally utilized are right signal, left signal, horn, headlights, dimmer, wiper speeds, wiper wash, cruise on, and cruise set. The Digitone control is designed to simply plug into the AEVIT™ 2.0 System and be programmed to your exact wants and needs. Digitone can also be ordered as a stand-alone product or in conjunction with other devices depending on your needs.

A.I. Commander
The A.I. Commander is a voice recognition system that sets the performance standard for user-friendly access to important secondary controls while driving. Accessing essential functions such as shifting, turn signals, and headlights can be difficult for physically challenged drivers. The A.I. Commander utilizes the latest speech recognition technology to transform the trained user’s voice commands into vehicle functions.
When the activation switch is triggered, A.I. Commander will first send a signal to the AEVIT System to shut off the radio so it will be quiet. A.I. Commander will then supply enough power to drive two OEM front speakers so the messages can be clearly heard by the driver. When wired correctly, A.I. Commander does NOT require the OEM speakers to be turned on in order to function properly.
A.I. Commander is “speech dependent” which means that the client must train A.I. Commander so it will only recognize the client’s vocal profile, allowing it to adapt to variations in accent, language, and speech cadence. The vehicle functions include left turn signal, right turn signal, dimmer, hazards, horn, wipers (Hi/Lo), front fan, rear fan, A.I. Commander voice louder, A.I. Commander voice softer, cruise control, park*, reverse*, neutral*, drive*, start*, and stop*.
* These functions will require confirmations before activation.
Power Headrest
Many states, countries, and driver training programs require the driver to access turn signals, horn, dimmer, wiper, and/or cruise control functions without removing their hands from the gas, brake or steering controls. For individuals affected by spinal cord injuries or other disabilities with limited hand/finger usage, this can be a nearly impossible task. The EMC Power Headrest will meet your needs. The Power Headrest option is available in three different styles. The plain Power Headrest does not incorporate any switches, but can be used for head support. The 1-button Power Headrest includes a single switch for access to Digitone or VIC. The 6-button model incorporates six individual switches for access to multiple user-selected functions. All three Power Headrest options feature motorized activation to swing them into position for driving and retract them to the storage position for unencumbered exit and entry.
The EMC Power Headrest does not include any switches but can be used for head support. This headrest features a motorized activation to swing it into position for driving and into the storage position for unencumbered exit and entry into the driver position.
The single-button Power Headrest will operate up to eight functions when used in conjunction with Digitone, and can operate up to 16 functions when used with VIC. It utilizes one switch for access with natural head movement. The single switch mounted off to the side enables the drivers to use the headrest to steady themselves while driving without contacting switches inadvertently.
Note: This style should be used by all individuals who require assistance with upper body stability while driving from their wheelchair.
The six-button Power Headrest will operate up to six functions utilizing one switch for each function. This style can be used by individuals who do not require assistance with upper body stability while driving from their wheelchair.
Note: The six switches are mounted across the headrest and therefore do not allow the drivers to use the headrest to steady themselves while driving without contacting switches inadvertently.
Magnabox
The Magnabox is a wireless activation switch that can control any AEVIT™ system or vehicle function. This activation switch will allow you to no longer be tethered by cables. Magnabox has plenty of flexibility for placement!
Being wireless, this allows for this wireless button to be placed anywhere in a vehicle, or on a wheelchair. We offer three versions of the EMC Magnabox to allow more flexibility for placement: Contained Single Button, Leashed Single Button, and Contained Two Buttons.

AEVIT™ 2.0 Remote Start
This plug and play option simply connects to AEVIT™ 2.0 System with 3-wires, and can be installed at anytime. Locate the antenna near a convenient window location for up to 300 feet of operation from a keychain mounted transmitter. The remote start option is only available with AEVIT™ 2.0 Systems
Note: Vehicles with a push-button start cannot be remote started with the AEVIT™ 2.0 System.
Smart-Shift
Smart-Shift sets the industry standard for electronic shift applications and can be installed into any vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. Smart-Shift travels from Park to Drive in 1.3 seconds! The powerful actuator positions your factory transmission cable within 1/32″ every time – no missed shift points. There are 2-styles of Smart-Shift: the first being incorporated into the touch display, and the second being a standalone keypad. As a safety feature, the brake must be applied in order to move to the selected gear.
The contoured standalone Smart-Shift keypad (3″H x 5.5″W x 1″D), was designed to complement the Econo-Series console system as a standalone product. Each button features center illumination and universal icons for quick, at-a-glance operation. When a drive mode key is depressed, the actuator will move the transmission to the selected gear and illuminate the LED indicator.
The AEVIT™ 2.0 System is capable of electronically shifting in parallel with the Ford F-150 shifter, Chrysler Pacifica shifting knob, and Honda Odyssey push button shift. The Display push buttons send CAN messages on (2) CAN buses in the vehicle to control the transmission gear positions. The AEVIT™ System reads these messages and updates the display in real time, as well as sends its own messages when the display is pressed and used to shift.
Low Effort Switch
The Low Effort Switch is a button that is used to activate a vehicle function or Digitone. The switches are available in three sizes: 1.25", 2.5", and 5.25" diameter.
2 Function Accessory Control
The EMC line of two-button touchpads is the economic solution for persons requiring simplified access to a minimal number of vehicle functions. EMC offers two standard, two-button touchpads. The ELB-TS for turn signals, and the ELB-AB for horn, dimmer and auxiliary functions. These touchpads are constructed of lightweight and durable ABS plastic and can be mounted just about anywhere, including directly to a hand control device. Each touchpad incorporates tactical low-effort raised buttons that provide easy activation for individuals choosing elbow operation. EMC can customize these touchpads to function in nearly any make or model vehicle for a variety of applications. Contact an EMC dealer for more details.
I.O Module
The AEVIT™ I.O Module is a versatile six-function switching module designed to provide flexible and intuitive vehicle function control. The module can be activated through the Power Headrest option or six programmable low-effort switches, with one function assigned per switch. For users who require additional controls, up to three extra buttons can be added to any single input device, expanding the system to a maximum of 12 buttons when combined with other input devices.
Each input device offers the option to add three additional switches, along with corresponding menus that allow programming of secondary functions within the selected secondary package. With two input devices, up to six functions can be programmed. When combined with the I-O Module, the system supports a total of 12 buttons and functions. In this configuration, each button is dedicated to a single function. These 3 input functions are often used with an A/B touch pad sometimes set up to be pressed with an elbow. This might control left and right turn signals or high and low head light beams.
The I.O Module is highly customizable and can be quickly reprogrammed by your dealer. Commonly programmed functions include right and left turn signals, horn, headlights, dimmer, wiper speeds, wiper wash, cruise control on, and cruise set. It can be ordered as a stand-alone product or combined with other AEVIT™ devices based on your needs. When placing an order, please specify the desired functions.
