The topic of secondary and auxiliary functions has been brought up numerous times in these past newsletters. We have addressed how the AEVIT programmable auxiliaries can be set to any secondary function, not just mirrors. The EMC Engineering Team has listened to the feedback about which functions end-users would like to have access to through their AEVIT System and researched the possibility of making these happen.

First, the discussion of "space" was tackled. Option A's four auxiliaries can quickly be taken up, especially when some functions need multiple spaces. This lead to the addition of a second auxiliary page on the AEVIT 2.0 GenX Display. With a simple tap between pages, users will have the option to access up to eight auxiliary functions (four on each page)!

Next, the team developed new icons from their first round of input. These icons include control of the driver and passenger heated seats, rear windows, sunroof, rear doors, hatch, push-to-talk functions, rear wipers and spray, rear defrost, drive modes, tow modes, and temperatures settings. Some functions will be vehicle dependent and these icons will only be available through the GenX Display.
